NEWSLINE... We are delighted to announce George Pitts - Director of Photography at LIFE Magazine has joined the judging panel. We also welcome new panel members Torch Gallery - Amsterdam, Reykjavik Museum of Photography - Iceland NZIPP - New Zealand, foto8 Magazine - London and EVE Photographers who will nominate and select images as members of our international jury... Winning work from the 1st and 2nd annual Spider Awards will be published October 2006 by book|BASIL in a deluxe first edition photographic art book... NEW CATEGORY... As requested by Spider Fellows, a new category has been added to the Awards - PORTFOLIO SERIES.

LUST FOR LIGHT - THE MOVIE... Black and White Spider Awards is producing a short film, "Lust for Light," a documentary starring Spider Fellows and their passion for light and creativity. All Spider Fellows wishing to participate can request a submission form at film@thespiderawards.com.
